These over-ear headphones are impressively lightweight and provide a high level of comfort during use. They appear to be designed for intuitive operation, as they provide audio feedback when buttons are pressed, such as for Power On/Off, Bluetooth Pairing, and Noise Cancelling features. A quick press of the power button announces the battery level, while a longer press turns the device on or off. Holding the button for seven seconds activates Bluetooth pairing mode. If your device supports Near Field Communication, like my cell phone does, the Bluetooth connection can be established simply by bringing the headphones close to it. The package includes the headphones along with two cables: one for audio and a USB-A to USB-C cable. However, the USB cable is under 8 inches long, which makes it somewhat challenging to connect to my charging adapter or computer. A 5-volt charging adapter is not provided, and the required wattage is not specified. The initial charging took about 7 hours, and the headphones are advertised to offer up to 35 hours of playback on a single charge. The sound quality is excellent; I enjoy listening to music at high fidelity, and these headphones perform exceptionally well. One feature I wish Sony had included is a carrying case for the headphones, although third-party options are available online. These headphones offer many of the functionalities found in Sony's premium models but at a more accessible price point, making them a solid recommendation for daily use. I tested the three modes: Ambient, Noise Cancelling, and Off. Living on a busy street with heavy traffic provided an ideal environment for this evaluation. The Noise Cancelling mode effectively reduced external noise, allowing me to barely hear the loud traffic. In Ambient mode, the microphones allowed street sounds to blend with the music, which is beneficial for situations where awareness of the surroundings is necessary. Turning Ambient mode off disables the microphones, resulting in no external sound being heard, which will depend on the volume of outside noise.

Adjust the music volume based on the level of external sound you perceive. Turning off the ambient feature also disables the Noise Cancelling function, making this setting ideal for those who prefer to avoid the effects of noise cancellation. Additionally, I would like to mention that I obtained these headphones at a discounted rate in return for my candid review. I am quite satisfied with the quality these headphones offer, especially considering their affordable price.

The headphones arrived as detailed in the listing, complete with a carry case, a 2.5mm to 3.5mm auxiliary cable, and a charging cord. Overall, this was a satisfactory purchase. I compared the Bose QC 35 II's directly with the Bose QC Ultra's and ultimately chose to return the Ultra's in favor of the QC 35 II's. One of the advantages of the QC 35 II's is their ability to function without power, along with the option to disable noise cancelling; these features are absent in the Ultra's, which is a significant drawback for me. While the Ultra's do offer slightly better sound quality, the difference is minimal and does not warrant the higher price tag associated with them.
